Over the past 22 years, Landmark Benefits has grown consistently and now employs an extensive team that collaborates to serve businesses throughout the United States. In addition, they have spearheaded highly successful initiatives to create comprehensive health improvement programs that improve workers’ lives while at the same time reducing the cost of health insurance — without compromising the quality of healthcare.

Due to Landmark Benefits’ tireless advocacy, meaningful contributions and unwavering commitment, Tom Harte has been invited to testify before the House of Representatives’ House Ways and Means Committee and the United States Senate’s Health Education Labor and Pension Committee to discuss the ongoing challenges of healthcare reform. The testimony focused primarily on healthcare cost trends, the ongoing challenges that employers face, taxes embedded within healthcare reform, the lack of healthcare transparency and other factors that have an impact on the costs of health insurance.

As a passionate advocate for lower healthcare insurance costs and increased transparency in the health insurance marketplace, Tom Harte, the president and founder of Landmark Benefits, has made impressive contributions to the health insurance industry and currently serves on the following health plan advisory councils:

  • Tufts Freedom Health Plan,
  • Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield of New Hampshire

He’s the founder of the New Hampshire Benefit Advisors and the Greater Merrimack Valley Human Resources Association. He was a member of the Board of Trustees, to include Chairman, at Parkland Medical Center and president of the Massachusetts Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors.  In addition, he was national president of the National Association of Health Underwriters, where he previously held other distinguished positions to include chairman of the Legislative Council.

In addition to making significant contributions to the health insurance industry, Tom and his team at Landmark Benefits actively seek out opportunities to support their community. Every year, they host a holiday gala and a golf tournament to benefit Make-A-Wish® New Hampshire — a charitable foundation that aims to make the wishes of children who suffer from life-threatening illnesses come true. Since 1997, the total amount of funds they’ve been able to raise is more than $930,000.
